Dr. Telias will introduce the concept of proportional modes of ventilation. Proportional modes of ventilation work by amplifying the effort of the patient's respiratory muscle activity, providing the necessary support to improve the imbalance between capacity and demand and to reach the patient's ventilation goal at the same time.

Dr. Telias was born and raised in Buenos Aires, Argentina. She completed medical school at the University of Buenos Aires. She is a specialist in Internal and Critical Medicine. She is a Clinical and Research Fellow at the University Health Network and St. Michael´s Hospital, currently taking her doctoral studies at the University of Toronto under the supervision of Dr. Laurent Brochard.
