Recognizing and Correcting Patient-Ventilator Asynchrony in VC-AC
Upon completion of this lecture the learner will be able to utilize pressure-time and flow-time scalars to recognize:
1) trigger asynchrony and make recommendations to correct it 2) inspiratory asynchrony in a variety of ventilator modes and make recommendations to correct it 3) cycle asynchrony in a variety of ventilator modes and make recommendations to correct cycle asynchrony 4) expiratory asynchrony in a variety of ventilator modes and make recommendations to set ventilator parameters to correct expiratory asynchrony
